Scholarship foundation : Program Guidelines

Program Guidelines- In addition to recognizing thousands of students at no charge in Who’s Who Registry of Academic Excellence, the American Who’s Who Association has awarded $30,000 in scholarships for the 2007-2008 school year and anticipates awarding $50,000 for the 2008-2009 school year.

How it works- In order for a student to be considered for a scholarship, he or she must first be invited or nominated to be recognized in Who’s Who Registry of Academic Excellence. Upon acceptance in the publication, the honored student will receive a proof of his or her biography and an order form for the publication and other memorabilia. This form must be returned along with the signature of approval from both a parent and the honored student. The form will also require that the student or parent check off that they would like to be considered for a scholarship. The scholarship application can be printed from the website or mailed upon request.

How we are funded- The American Who’s Who Association has a unique advantage due to its ability to generate funding from the sales and distribution of Who’s Who Registry of Academic Excellence. A portion of every publication sold is donated through the scholarship foundation. In addition, donors are given the opportunity to impact the lives of students who dream of continuing their education and making a positive difference in the world by making a charitable contribution to the Student Scholarship Foundation.

Special Notice** There is no charge for a listing in Who’s Who Registry of Academic Excellence and there is no charge for consideration of a scholarship through the Student Scholarship Foundation. Whether or not a purchase of a book or any other item is made does not effect whether a student is considered for a scholarship. We strongly believe that recognition is earned, not purchased!
